Simple and Effective Ways to Avoid Face Wrinkles

Changes occur to our skin as we get older.  The first visable sign of aging is the appearance of wrinkles on our face.  People usually want to look younger as the years add on.  Knowing the right ways of dealing with these wrinkles is important to maintaining youthful looking skin. A survey conducted showed that 36 percent of workers experience work stress regularly.  This was an online survey taken for one week between January 1 and February 8. It is reported that health care expenditures are nearly 50 percent greater for workers who report high levels of stress.   Stress plays a major factor in chronic health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, musculosketetal disorders, and psychological disorders. It is also poison to companies as it has been linked to lost of productivity, absenteeism, poor performance and employee turnover. Commuting, working long hours, difficult co-workers, balancing work and family, fear of layoffs and more spell stress for the American workers. Stress management and wellness workshops are helping the corporate world, but one of the best stress relief is still practicing Yoga. Yoga results in positive physical, mental and emotional changes for the body and mind. It helps reverse the signs of aging and gives youth back to the body.  Start to add this practice to your weekly routine and start to feel the changes. You may not realize that you are creating more wrinkles just sittng in front of a computer all day.  Here are some common everyday situations to be aware of.   Sitting at your desk with your palm pushed up against your face will create creases and over time they will turn into large wrinkles.  Too much laughing and talking can result in wrinkles too.  Constant contraction of the skin and muscles can lead to face wrinkles over time.   Keep drinking water throughout the day.  This helps to keep the skin hydrated and moist which will fight and prevent facial wrinkles.  Also, apply moisturizer to your hands and face when they start to feel dry during the day.   Snack on a piece of fruit every day.  The anti-oxidants in the fruit will help release harmful toxins in the skin and see cell regeneration at 100%. Remember to wear sunglasses when you go outdoors.  Sun exposure to your eyes everyday could increase wrinkles around the eyes.   If you’re a smoker, keep the breaks to a minimum as these breaks throughout the day can severely dry out your skin.  Better yet quit, as smoking adds ten years on to the individual’s appearance. Did you know your sleeping position can have an effect on promoting wrinkles?   The best sleep position to stay wrinkle free is to sleep on your back.  It is the most neutral position for your head, neck, and spine.  It’s also great for preventing wrinkles since your face isn’t pushing on anything.   Second best position for sleep is on your side.  It can reduce snoring, and is good for your back, but it can cause wrinkles since your face is pressed against the pillow and creases will develop.   Avoid the fetal position as this can cause neck and back pain, and premature wrinkles.   The worst position is sleeping on your stomach.  This puts pressure on your joints and muscles.  It can also irritate nerves and lead to pain, especially in the neck. Although the aging process can not be stopped, there are ways for the skin to appear looking younger despite your age.  The skin begins to lose its elasticity, and gravity starts to take over making the skin fragile with the loss of collagen.  It’s very important to  take the extra effort of taking care of your skin as you age.  Proper care of your skin is important to avoid premature wrinkles and other signs of skin aging.  Using a daily skin care regimen is the most important routine in dealing with face wrinkles.   Find quality skin care products which include a gentle exfoiliation wash, hydrating toner, sun sunscreen protectant w/SPF, and a night moisturizing cream.  There are many at home products to use.  Find one that works best for your skin.  Be consistent and you should see results with less appearance of wrinkles. Living a healthy lifestyle plays an important factor in keeping healthy and youthful skin.  Healthy choices in your daily diet is essential to avoiding face wrinkles and other signs of skin aging.  Nutritional deficiencies  can cause wrinkles.  Schedule in regular exercise, at least three to four days per week, to maintain a good blood flow and oxygen in the body for healthy skin and lower stress level.  Avoid too much sun exposure to your skin.   When going outdoors, remember to use your sunscreen. The UV rays are there even on cloudy days. Taking simple precautions everyday will help prolong the aging process. http://smoothskinbydiane.blogspot.com http://smoothskinbydiane.myrandf.com ...read more

Simple Ways to Slow Down Aging Process

Aging is a natural process of every human being. It all begins from the second we take our first breath. As children, we are dependent on the adults who care for us until we reach young adulthood. As we mature, we begin to build our own habits. Some help to ensure good health for the rest of our lives. Some develop habits that will deteriorate our bodies and minds. Can we actually slow down our aging process? Is there really a "fountain of youth"? Why do some people look younger than their actual age? What are their secrets? It is quite simple: Diet, exercise, and taking care of their skin.Deciding which foods to eat should not have to be a challenge. Look for foods without preservatives and additives. Include fresh fruits and vegetables with rich antioxidants such as: blueberries, walnuts, beans, red apples, and artichoke hearts. The more plant based foods incorporated in your diet, the healthier you will be. Foods with bright colored skin are high in antioxidants and help in repairing damaged cells. Antioxidants can help prevent cancer, Alzheimer's, heart disease and even Parkinson's disease.Antioxidants also help keep you young. They neutralize the "free radicals". A chain reaction of free radicals can kill cells, tear holes in cell membranes and mutate DNA which is the mastermind of cell activity.Vitamin A and Vitamin C are two known antioxidants. Rich sources of Vitamin A are found in carrots, squash, spinach, and collard greens. Citrus fruits are the best sources for Vitamin C.The best way for our body to assimilate what it needs comes from good nutrients from natural healthy foods. Try packing a daily lunch instead of depending on the fast food places is an ideal way to start eating healthier. Take supplements to insure you are getting proper nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.Regular exercise such as walking 20-30 minutes three to four times a week helps burn excess fat and tone muscles. Walking strengthens the bones in your lower half, improving the onset of osteoporosis. Consistent exercise maintains blood sugar levels, strengthens cardiovascular system, improves stamina and memory, boosts immunity and provides a good night's sleep.Few people can retain their strength and vitality until middle age. A lot of people look older than they actually are. Our body has the ability to renew and regenerate. The best way to attain this is by practicing Yoga on a regular basis. Practicing deep breathing and meditation relieves stress, increases oxygen and blood circulation which improves energy levels. Movements and flow with your practice gives the body flexibility and strength. It helps to bring balance to the body. Inversions bring the flow of blood back to the head to help combat the anti aging process. Inversions help with the graying hairs by turning them back to its natural color or delaying the onset of the hair color change.Manage your stress. Yoga helps to relieve stress which helps in slowing down the aging process. It helps by providing elasticity to the spine, firming up the skin and removing tension from the body. It corrects poor posture, strengthens the abdominal muscles, it helps firm up the loose arm muscles, eliminates the possibility of a double chin. All of these will help the body to look and feel young once again.Yoga revitalizes the mind and rejuvenates the body. The practice allows people to feel better today than they did when they were younger. They say a person's age can be determined by the flexibility of his spine, not how many years he has lived. The practice also helps increase mental competence allowing a person to feel younger. It helps to give the body power to fight internal and external diseases and dangers. It is key in helping an individual to live longer. Whether your twenty or eighty, consider taking a Yoga class three to four times a week. Age does not matter, just start your practice and you will see a difference.Next, find quality skin care products. A regimen should contain the following: exfoliation, toner, day sunscreen hat has Sun Protectant Factor (SPF), and a moisturizing night cream will provide the best results. Be consistent by using these twice a day and results should be seen within four to eight weeks.Look for an exfoliation wash that contains the ingredients, kaolin clay and dimethicone. These are two key ingredients and ideal for sensitive skin and will benefit with the overall improvement of your skin and texture. Kaolin clay will help draw out impurities from the pores and exfoliate the dead surface skin cells making your skin more radiant. Dimethicone will help clear up breakouts and is a skin barrier strengthener. The hydrating toner will help to brighten dull-looking skin. Look for a toner containing creatine which enhances cell renewal and begins improving the rejuvenation process. Creatine is a skin energy booster. To help rebuild natural collagen production and improve the skin's elasticity, reduce appearance of wrinkles and protect the skin from the UVA/UVB rays, use a sunscreen day protectant with SPF 15 or higher. The sunscreen will act as a dual purpose of protection and moisturizer when combined with quality peptides, antioxidants and dimethicone.A night cream will help maintain moisture in your skin and rebuild collagen as you sleep if it is one that will increase the skin's temperature and water loss.Incorporating these important steps into your daily routines should give you a healthier life both inside and out.Diane Busey-Bird is an Executive Skincare Consultant and Partner with Rodan and Fields Dermatologists, the pioneers of ProActiv. Now the innovative doctors are focusing on revolutionizing the skincare industry with their highly acclaimed anti-aging products. 4 Steps to Look For in an Anti-Aging Regimen

If you have been looking in the mirror and noticing the years have crept up on you or you are seeing dull looking skin, lines and wrinkles appearing on your face, eyes, and neck, there are some easy steps to improve your skin's complexion in the privacy of your own home without going to the doctor's office. To help combat the aging process, your goal should be to find quality skincare products that will exfoliate, tone, protect, and moisturize. Be consistent and use as recommended in order to see the results you desire.1. Find a gentle exfoliating wash: Look for a facial wash with the ingredient Kaolin Clay, which will draw out the impurities from your pores and gently exfoliate the dead surface skin cells. Dimethicone strengthens the skin's barrier and also helps clear up breakouts. Dimethicone is also ideal for sensitive skin. Exfoliation will help even your skin's tone and while improving its overall texture.2. Get a hydrating toner: A hydrating toner helps to brighten dull-looking skin. Look for Creatine, a skin energy booster. It enhances cell renewal and begins the rejuvenation process. If the toner was applied with a cotton gauze and the gauze is dirty looking after the toner is applied to your face, you have just removed dead skin cells off your face.3. Use sunscreen protection: It's important to use at least SPF 15. Sunscreen also acts as a moisturizer if it is combined with quality peptides and antioxidants. Make sure your sunscreen contains the FDA recognized Dimethicone. These ingredients will stimulate natural collagen production to improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Remember, the skin's loss of collagen begins at age 30.4. Don't forget the night cream: A quality night cream will increase your skin's temperature to maximize moisture and repair collagen while you sleep. A good ingredient to look for in a night cream is Ultrasome, which helps repair damage, prevents moisture loss and boosts natural collagen.Diane Busey-Bird is an Executive Skincare Consultant and Partner with Rodan and Fields Dermatologists, the pioneers of ProActiv. Now the innovative doctors are focusing on revolutionizing the skincare industry with their highly acclaimed anti-aging products.
