The good news is that you will know quickly whether or not the website wants to buy your gift card and you can have the money in-hand rather quickly. The downside is that you will likely receive less for your gift card than selling it yourself. The percentage you are offered will also depend on where it is from. Popular stores will command a higher selling price, which will allow the website to offer you more money.


2. Auction Websites. You can also sell a gift card yourself through auction websites, like eBay. The good news is that you will be able to set your own price on the gift card. As with a gift card website, stores that are more popular will command a higher selling price. The downside to an auction website is that they may want a piece of the action. First, you may be charged a small fee to list the gift card. Second, you may have to give a percentage of your sell to the auction website. There is also a chance that you may not be able to sell the gift card for the price you are asking.All of this added up could leave you with less profit than selling to a gift card website. Therefore, you need to take everything into consideration before deciding how to sell your gift card.
