I bet you can imagine how upset I was when I found out that my mom did not receive anything for Mother's Day this year! When I called Ann, the owner of The Beehive & Village Flower Shoppe, not only was she rude and unprofessional on the phone (talking to others while on the phone, etc), but she couldn't even find my online order form! She almost made it seem like she didn't believe that I had actually placed an order with her. She told me she would look for it and hung up. I had to call her back the next day, still nothing. Ann never once took the initiative to call me back, and after the third day she said she finally found it and asked if I wanted to proceed with the order. Of course I did not want to give her ANY money after that, but because my mom deserves flowers, I said okay. The only 'reimbursement' Ann offered was to upgrade it to the "deluxe" version. No Star I ordered an $80 bouquet of flowers for my mother's 85th birthday. Her first in Fontain Lakes Rehab Center. The order was placed on 4/21 for delivery on my mother's birthday, 4/24. We called the florist directly to avoid the problems with wiring. We requested something "flashy" and wanted to spend $50 - $75. What we got was a charge of $88 on our credit card. Our $88 bought us a basket with a philidendron, a peacock feather and curly willow. Having owned a florist, I understand the markups and the overhead.
