It isn't every day that you can still find a shop quite like the CoverCatz. Here is what I mean. I came asking about an awning, referred by a friend. I found out later that they do sooooo much more. Detailing and upholstery is on thier list too. Not only did I find some one to take care of my new awning made by them, but now I have some one to fix the seats in my Volvo. Later I'll bring it back to be detailed on regular visits! ...read more

I have a 1998 Chevy Tahoe and I was looking for a specialty shop for the interior but not just any run of the mill job and certainly not just a factory look. I wanted mossy Oak in my truck. Special thanks to the good people at Covercatz, I did not have to settle for cheezy seat covers. The guys at Covercatz made my ride look like it came from the factory this way. Door panels, sunvisors, overhead consol, shifter boots and all the seats and heres the cats meow as they put it, it was all done for under what I thought would cost. $ 1,800.00 and to top it off they even added my seats to their web page. Thanks guys ...read more

Pros and Cons of Washing and waxing your own vehicle???

I'm a working dad and have a beautiful conversion van E250 Ford.  Now before I get started on this topic I should mention the fact that I too have to consider this question in the title.  Ok, so I went down to the local store and got a price on maintenece products for cleaning.  Rags12.00 Soap 9.00 wash mits 6.00  wash brush w/ handle 14.00 orbital buffer 39.00  buffer bonnets  7.00 (two pack) glaze wax. 30.00 tire cleaner 6.00 window cleaner 4.00 upholstery cleaner 14.00 rug doctor  49.00 armor all  8.00 hose 17.00 trigger spray attachment 4.00 Totaling $219.00 Consider the one time costs of the buffer, hose, trigger spray, brush handle, wash mit, buffer bonnets and you get 120.00 bottom line Now lets figure together how many washes you get with what you buy. We looked at this, the wife and I, and said about six washes before replentishing our soaps and other supplies. Dividing 6 into 120.00  is exactly $20.00 even. Most people do not have a vacuum powerful enough to get all that sand which is in its own right (GLASS in the rough)  constantly cutting up your carpet!!! Oh and did I mention the labor??? Nope yer right, i did not. As I said I am a working dad and I own a detailing center.  If you were to look at my beatiful van, you would be discusted.  Hey,  I am ! But don't fret because even I use a detailing service myself !!! ...read more
