"unhappy lady" had me until she mentioned Mark. He's the only person at that place that knows how to do hair. I'm a guy so it may be different than a woman's perspective. I absolutely would suggest guys to go here for mark's shave and haircut for $20. I call ahead to make sure Mark will be there... if he's not, i don't go. Simple as that. ...read more

When I first called to make an appointment they were really sweet and told me my hair would be done by the owner. I came to the salon and it was very nice looking with great decor. I got there early because I was trying to get ready for a wedding I was in and they immediately started working on my hair. Then my appointment seemed to take a turn. I felt like I was not important at all. Heidi would stop working on me to talk about the lunch situation or get her phone or show someone a video on her phone. There was a little too much distraction and not enough communication with me. I wanted "big" hair and that is not what i received. It looked like she was trying to create a poof on the top of my head, then loose curls for a half up-do. The poof was not teased or raised off my head at all so it ended up looking like a helmet. She said the curls would hold since i had curly hair but they did not. I was hoping that I would have received a hair net to hold them until the event. When I went ...read more

Horrible!!!! This will be a short review as it's been over 24 hours since I had my hair cut by MARK and I'm still angry. I should have known better than to go into an empty salon on a friday as well as taken a note how awful the other stylists hair were themselves. First of all, he tried to sell me a Joico Reconstructive package for my dry, damaged hair. He said Joico would help my frizz. HA! I declined as I never buy salon products. Secondly, I told him what I wanted and he did NOT listen. When he "fixed" my hair, it was extremely frizzy. So much for the Joico testimony. He actually feathered my hair up and shellacked it with hairspray like it was 1989. When he turned the chair around and asked how I liked it, I was in such shock, I couldn't react and tell him how I really felt. I kindly paid for his "services" and walked out crying. When I got home, I noticed my bangs were crooked and jagged. He also missed quite a number of hairs in the cut and the sides and layers are t ...read more

I've tried two different stylists at this place, as I really wanted to like it, since it's so close to where I live. Alas, I've stopped going here, and here are the reasons. First, I asked the front desk person who was their best person with the most up to date knowledge of cutting hair. She recommended Teresa, so I made an appt with her. Not only did she do a very bad job, but she did it in record time, like she was short on time or something. I felt like I was rushed through. Upon getting home, I had to cut the long lengths of hair that she missed - this is how rushed a job she did! Apparently, she wasn't the best, she was the person available at that time.\t\nI called a couple months later and asked the front desk person the same question and got 2 completely different names. I went with Sudie, who was OK the first time, and then seemed to rush me through the second time, not even cutting my hair the same way. She charges too much and pressure you into scheduling an appt way too soon. I like to make my appts when I feel I need them, not at the time that will make the stylists the most money. \t\nOn a side note, once I was waiting for Sudie and Teresa was in the foyer talking to another stylist about how she hates doing color for people, because it takes too long and some people don't tip, and how she likes to do haircuts because she can quickly get them in and out. Uh, yeah, quickly in and out because she's not doing a very good job, and maybe people aren't tipping because you're doing a bad job? I had tipped her when she did my hair, but more out of habit and the fact that I didn't know exactly how bad it was until I got home.\t\nAnyway, there's better places out there, so if you're looking for a good place to go to, I would keep looking. ...read more

I was excited to use the hair removal service, but was very disappointed after going to my appointments for 1 1/2 years to find out that it was a waste of my time. I threw away $500! It did not work AT ALL!! Do not waste your money! The staff was friendly, but that is the only positive thing I experienced. She even used 2 different machines over a long period of time. I am NOT a overly hairy person either. The procedure is just a waste! I will research next time before I fork out $500 that is not refundable. Not even a dime! ...read more
