I am truly impressed with this company. I had an issue with our company's network and called them for a quote. They provided a quick quote and were able to give me some suggestions for free over the phone. I tried what they said, and after no avail, they sent a technician out within an hour. The tech was excellent and easily fixed our networking issue, and also fully optimized our computers. I am so glad I called this company, they will be providing support for our computers for life. ...read more

If you value your laptop/PC, don't bring it here. Had a cracked touchscreen that was working. Jim kept my 8-month old laptop for a week and didn't tell me he couldn't order the part. He cracked the screen even more, snapped the in-built camera wire, broke the top cover so it would not snap back into place, and disappeared with all original screws. When I complained, he said there were signs posted claiming the shop was not responsible for any damage - he could break everyone's computer and there was absolutely nothing anyone could do about it. When I brought my $800 laptop to the shop, all it needed was a new $250 touchscreen. By the time he gave it back, HP and Best Buy told me to throw it in the garbage and buy a new one. ...read more

5 tips to keep your laptop screen intact and uncracked

Lately I’ve been seeing a LOT of broken LCD screens on Laptops. Some have been dropped, stepped on, fell off the desk, or even fell off the roof of the car.. How to keep your laptop screen intact and unbroken: 1. Never place it on the floor. That’s a great way to get it stepped on by you, a child or a dog. Yes, dogs are heavy enough to crack LCD screens. 2. Always have it on a flat and stable surface. 3. Don’t put anything heavy on top of it. Books especially are a no-no. 4. Don’t put it in a bag with anything else. 5. Always close the screen when you aren’t using it. If it were to get bumped or fell, it would absorb the shock better closed. Remember to be careful with your laptop. Laptops can be fragile sometimes and all it takes is one drop or bump and WHAM your screen is shattered in to many little pieces. Local shops in the Mobile Alabama area enjoy a large profit in replacing screens and sometimes charge $300 or more. The cost of repair can sometimes be scary, but call me- I’m much cheaper than the other guys. Have a broken laptop screen? Call me first or call me last either way you won’t find a better deal anywhere. Mobile, Alabama and the surrounding areas only please. Dannythe Computer Guy 251-418-4286 ...read more

Laptop Repair in Mobile Alabama

We are proud to announce we now offer LAPTOP computer repair here in Mobile, Alabama. This has been something we have done since Day one, but the number one question we get is "Do you Work On Laptops?"- YES! I LOVE to work on laptops. That's right, no more overpaying somewhere else, now you can save big money with us.. We do everything from LCD replacement, AC jack repair, replacing keyboards, hard drives, hinges, to replacing trim pieces or even just virus removal. How much can I save?Just yesterday I replaced the bezel and lid on a Dell 1521 Laptop. The customer had called around and even taken to a local shop. The local shop wanted $150 for LABOR and $100 for parts- thats a total of $250 to replace a couple of non electronic parts. The customer found the parts on ebay for around $40 and I charged her $20 for labor for a total savings of $190! For LCD replacement, I get $40-50 plus the actual price of the LCD, which is generally $70-$120 or so. I prefer the customer to either pay for the LCD when I order it, or order it themselves (I'll happily tell then where and how). AC Jack replacement is a bit more complicated and takes a few days. If the jack is damaged and I have to replace it, I'll order it off the internet. Sometimes its quick to arrive, sometimes its 2 weeks.. But Danny, I hear you ask : "How do you make money doing that?" Well, I believe in providing a good service. I don't have the overhead some of the big boys have. Take for example Best Buy as I see a LOT of computers with Best Buy Stickers.. Next time you are in Best Buy, Look up. Who do you think pays their light bill? The CUSTOMER. They have lots of lights and a big building to keep cool. I don't- therefore my prices can be reasonable… ...read more
