Pitch Black Window Tinting is CLOSED. Ernest Keifer the owner was evicted (not the first place that has happened), there's someone else in there now, a new business.\t\n\t\nThe current company that was asked to come and use the spot is entirely different and they specialize in new car dealers and people with newer, nicer cars.\t\n\t\nThe facility looks (and smells!) entirely different. The waiting area is heated and cooled. Free coffee and water and free WiFi for customers who prefer to wait rather than drop their car off.\t\n\t\nThe installer that's in this location now has been tinting since the 80's and in Mobile since the mid-90's and relies on word of mouth more than advertising, although they do have a Facebook page where they post some of their work, I can't post the link, but you can just look for "ProTint.Alabama" on FB and it'll be right there. You can tell they're doing really nice work ...read more

Stay away as far as you can. Took owner 4 whole days to tint 2 cars (me and my wife's) and still it was not completely done. 1st day they put in the wrong tint. I wanted 20% tint, he put in 35% tint and hoping I didn't know the difference. Which I did. 2nd day, he order the wrong shade. the tint had 2 different color shade to it. the 3rd day, he didn't order enough tint. Didn't learn from his previous mistakes; again he didn't order enough tint on the 4th day. Very unprofessional. Not to mention, no air condition in the waiting room. So, forget about waiting. In the beginning he said, " I've been tinting for over twenty-something years...If I don't get it right, I won't charge you a dime!" THAT'S A FLAT LIE! Four days has pass and he's still hadn't got out tint right! Sadly, he didn't keep his word. In addition, I found a nail stuck in one of my tires that was not there when I dropped it off. I confronted to him when I picked up my car. He denied that it was his. When my wife and I walk around his shop, we saw a lot of razor blades and screws laying around in his shop. We paid the unprofessional owner/tinter and got our tint work done somewhere else. I hope he reads this review one day and see how "happy he made me and wife felt."\t\n ...read more

How do you know your getting Hunter Douglas window treatments?

"All About the Windows" a Linen Locker Company offers free measuring and installation to our customers.  If its a quality product like Hunter Douglas blinds, shutters or shades we can usually beat any companies price on the Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi Gulf Coast. Since All About The Windows in West Mobile, is a Hunter Douglas Gallery store, we can offer Hunter Douglas discounts that others can not touch. When a company has a better price we usually ask the customer if the other company was pricing the same product? We actually have lower price products that we could price, but they are not Hunter Douglas and these window treatments are made of cheap materials that usually start to show age after two years. Its like they say, you get want you pay for.. Over the years, we have had a couple of cases where customers were told that they were buying Hunter Douglas life time blinds, shutters and shades from other companies bidding on a job. The sale person from other companies told the customer they were getting Hunter Douglas only to install low end cheap product that usually falls apart after a couple of years. So, how does a customer know that they are getting the product that they are paying for? Here are a couple of things that might help when choosing a Hunter Douglas company. Try to buy from a Hunter Douglas Gallery store. They usually offer the best discounts. Its always best to deal with a company that has a store and not just a phone number. A company with a store front has accountability. If there is no Hunter Douglas Gallery store in your area, then make sure you look on Hunter Douglas web site to see if the Hunter Douglas company that your are dealing with is actually a buyer of Hunter Douglas products. Be at home when your Hunter Douglas window treatments are being installed. Hunter Douglas name will be on a small label on the bottom of the blind.  Hunter Douglas also has information on a white sticker inside the head rail. After the installation of your Hunter Douglas window treatments, you should be given a Hunter Douglas certificate. This information might even have a small survey to complete about your Hunter Douglas purchase.   If you have any questions or would like "All About the Windows" to give you a free in home consultation, call us at 251-725-1486, 251-675-6921, toll free, 1800-849-7317.  We have two stores to serve you!
