Please do yourself a favor and do not move here! This was my first apartment and thought this would get me accustomed to paying bills on my own...BIG MISTAKE you get what you pay for. The employees are extremely lazy and unprofessional especially the manager Robbie Blair or McDonald whatever the ladys name is. She is ghetto and unfit to manage anything especially an apartment complex. ALL of the units need to renovated! My stoke sparks and two of they tops don't work, I've had a leak in my hallway TWICE the second time they didn't come for days (um helloooo mold!) I've put in work orders to have my drains unstopped some one came but it was never fixed so I just gave up...my companys vehicle was shot at and they let me stay without air for 4 days with only two box fans and said those were courtesy fans ha! And its August!!!! Thought it would be a great place to get used to paying bills on my own but unfortunately the only lesson it taught me is to choose where I stay more wisely and make sure the management is professional ...read more

It's hard to remain subjective after having such a frustrating experience, but here it goes. I moved into the complex back in the summer of 2012. Since moving in, I believe that there have been three to four different management teams. I cannot speak to how long this management group will remain, but it has been difficult trying to resolve the same issues with new people, repeatedly. For those who are about to argue that this team will be here for the long-haul - I'm sure that is what each of the last three management staffs thought as well. The location is great. Convenient access to grocery, gas, restaurants, etc. and it is obviously in a safe part of town. Back access to 280 makes it easy to get nearly anywhere. Plus, plus location. Amenities are adequate. My appliances are very old, the previous maintenance was poor, and the energy efficiency is not great. The water has been shut off at least a half dozen times in the last year, which I would consider to be way too much. My immediate neighbors are very quiet, but there are several loud trucks consistently driving through the lot and many barking dogs. The construction projects of new management is never-ending and quite honestly, will probably end up being more of a nuisance than the benefit that it could possibly provide. The buildings were all painted in 2012 - why waste money repainting them in 2014 just to charge higher rent? Incredibly wasteful. They installed a "gate" about 1.5 months ago and it has been sitting wide open since it was installed (rendering it useless). The parking lot has also been torn up for the last two months and it is very rough on my car, not to mention uncomfortable to drive on. If I had to sum up the maintenance/construction, it would be this: good intentions, incredibly poor execution at the expense of the residents (both in $$ and convenience). The new staff is somewhat friendly, but I find them to be far less flexible than the last management team. They are also very slow to respond to nearly any request. It is frustrating to work with them because they all seem to be puppets of "the man", SPM. I never feel like they have the authority to make decisions on their own that may help the resident. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are incompetent, but I certainly would not call them customer-oriented. I always see them talking a big game to prospective residents, but fair warning: once you sign the lease, you suddenly are far less significant to them (no matter how well they sell the complex to you, they will always need to sell it to the person behind you). I believe that I was very fair with my review, and unfortunately I would not recommend this complex to a friend (or a stranger, for that matter). The infrastructure and location give it the potential to be an amazing complex, but the management team and execution of plans holds it back from reaching that potential. ...read more
