when I moved out after 10 years and left apt. spotless- they kept my deposit and falsified the checkout list because I was at work and not there. I had to issue a warrant to sue them for not giving full deposit back and not giving it back by law within the 2 weeks period. I suceeded. in my lawsuit against Essex Properties. If you live there- at Highridge be sure to videotape your apt. when you move out. Also- they will charge YOU for painting the apt. for the next tenant-which is against the law as painting is considered normal wear and tear which alot of tenants do not know. Also-every improvement they make is a jump in rent for you.
