Baci Ristorante

Had dinner there the first time last night. Beth was our server, she was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. Was pleasantly surprised becuase the restaurant looks a lot better in person than it does on the web site, I absolutly adored the atmosphere, the food was exceptional, I absolutly loved the fried bread appetiser. my main course was the NY strip steak which was amazing, cooked EXACTLY the way I requested. This resataurant is fast becoming one of my favorites. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was..... the potatoe, with my steak, tasted awesome, the problem was, the portion, one slice was not what I expected. but it made us laugh cause my reaction to it was" Thats the potatoe? Where is it? Anyhow, besides that I will definatley go there again, I'll just ask for extra potatoes.

my wife and i have been going to Baci's and their english pub underneath, heart of the oak, for years and have never once been disappointed. the service is attentive, food excellent and the atmosphere understated. overall, i would recommend this to anyone looking for great italian, or in the case or the pub, great english food.
for the beer drinker, the pub has quite a few english favorites on tab.

Baci was a complete rip off! The wine selection was extremely overpriced, the dinner specials changed by the time the second waiter came to us (which was about 20 minutes after we finally got our drinks), and the very expensive food was very blah! Most of our dishes were missing key ingredients- usually the reason why we ordered the dish in the first place, for example, salads missing blue cheese crumbles and dinners missing shrimp and sun-dried tomatoes! Portions were inadequate and presentation was poor. DO NOT EAT HERE!
