Reviews about Austin Binding Shop
Rude and over-priced and un-professional
Based on less than enthusiastic recommendation from a carpet retailer, I was considering having these folks install a carpet at m y house. First of all, they are difficult to get a hold of during the day, which indicated to me that they do not have full-time office staff. At the end of the day, a guy named Jeff calls back (seems to be the owner). He was rude extremely unprofessional. I described my project (a simple rectangular room) and he started with a fairly basic quote. He then kept adding various fees and charges ultimately saying that he would not be able to give any ballpark estimate until he came over and did a measuring that would cost $125. After that, he would be able to give a quote (for a 12x25 rectangular room). When all was said and done I contacted the retailer and they explained that they had some negative feedback as well. THE ONLY REVIEWS THESE CLOWNS HAVE ONLINE ARE NEGATIVE - and they have been in business 30 years. There are many fine contractors in Austin. Avoid this one at all costs.

They do not do a good job with installations and turn their backs when there are problems.
