Alvin's Island

Was here yesterday since we were vacationing and wanted to check it out since the store was huge. While shopping upstairs (in flip flops, like the majority of clientele) I felt something touch the arch of my foot while I was walking only to lift up my flip flop and see one of those long and sharp stainless steel tacks they use in their security tags stuck straight through it. Had It been my heel or ball of my foot the tack would have went through my skin. I was planning on making a purchase anyways and brought the tack to the register with me and asked to speak with a manager. VERY POOR customer service, the woman brushed it off as something left behind by a shoplifter, claimed it happens to her and other employees all the time and after saying they should have more secure and safer tags, she actually had the audacity to suggest that I needed better flip flops! Another one of their comments was "well at least it wasn't rusty". I am very disappointed with how the situation was handled and was grudgingly given 15% off on my item, after having to ask if something could or would be done about this. If a small child were to have stepped on this instead of me, it would have went clear through the flip flop into their foot, it was at least 3/4in long.
