Wisconsin Health Fund Acupuncture

I was new to the Milwaukee area and just recently insured since graduating college. An in-network provider close to my home was at Wisconsin Health Fund (WHF) in Wauwatosa.

I went in to diagnose a pain in my lower abdomen and told the doctor about my lack of medical attention previously due to lack of funds and was not insured. He proceeded to run only the "necessary" tests which amounted to over $1,000 note covered by my insurance.

I cancelled the appointment he recommended me to make with a different department after fearing that the bills would surpass what I could afford. At the time of my cancellation, he had "no clear idea" of what my pain could be and it went un-diagnosed.

I got nothing accomplished and am out a grand.
