Rodriguez Shrimp

Took a group of friends here based on other good reviews. We were not dissapointed! The seafood was fresh, the flavors were exactly what they should be to highlight the perfectly cooked shrimp. As other reviewers noted - this place makes you feel like you are sitting in a friendly sea-side mexican fish house. We thought the price was exactly what it should be for such good quality seafood - $14 average plate. The utencils and cups are cheap and worn, and they could work a little harder on cleanliness - all of which would normally bother me, but in this case it just adds to the feeling that you are on a mexican beach somewhere, and when you take your first bite, nothing else matters.

Freshest Seafood in Arizona

If you haven't tried Rodriguez Seafood you are missing a wonderful experience. Not only does Rodriquez serve the freshest seafood money can buy they import it themselves. Their trucks import fresh, iced seafood to Tucson where it is then sold to other distributors and restaurants.\t\n\t\nIn the warehouse is a full service meat case showing the week's catch. On the other side is a small sit down dinning area that you can order stuff that just came off the trucks. Unbelievable Cabrilla fillets served several ways dominate the menu. The Cabrilla is a medium sized rock fish or grouper from Mexico and very delicious. \t\n\t\nNo bones about it you will enjoy this wonderful Mexican fish. The shimp is also very reasonable and served anyway you like it. Be prepared to save some money and fill that seafood craving.

A true warf experience right here in Tucson

For years we bought thousands of pounds of fresh Mexican Grouper, Cabrilla and Baquetta from the Rodriquez family. La Costa Brava is a small kitchen inside a working Seafood warehouse and importer. They also have a retail market and deli with many hard to find Mexican, Greek and other ethnic foods. You will not find fresher Mexican delicacies than here at La Costa Brava.\t\n\t\nThe quality is supberb and I highly recommend any Mexican Shrimp or Fish dinners. The Cabrilla Sea Bass/Grouper is a staple on the menu and the family prepares it hot fresh and delicious every time. They also have excellent fish and chips for the kids. Shrimp cocktails just like Mexico and other Mexican delicacies like Civiche and soups.\t\n\t\nThis is a come as you are place and located on the southside. A great place to take the kids because of all the interesting decor and the open glass meat case.\t\n\t\n
