Fitness 21 Sunrise at Citysearch

The worst fitness facility in customer service

I have been their member for more than a decade, just because it is close to my home. But their management, membership, customer service, is the worst I have ever experienced.

They make you sign on a dotted line but they don't tell you what is it that you are signing. Nobody takes time to read pages of long and small print statements after statements after disclaimers. It ends up that you have signed a memebrship for a year, you also pay extra $25 for "enhancements" ???? and they can charge your credit card anytime they like - no explanations needed.

The worst part is when I got tired of their billing tricks and decided to cancel my membership. I had a very hard time. They kept charging my credit card 3 times after I told them to cancel my membership. I finally had to cancel my credit card and issue a new one to avoid more charges being submitted.

They are crooks, they are rude and they are unethical. If you are thinking of Fitness 21 in Sunrise - find somewhere else before you give them an open ended credit card number to charge as they please.

They will talk you into a contract trust me they want all that year's fee from you

I have had a bad expierience with them regarding cancellation of my membership, but this review is completely unbiased.
I will talk about the marketing strategy first. They will send mailers to local addresses advertising about a month free membership offer. Now imagine you go there , one of their fitness "expert" will take you to a class room and tell you how unfit you are and will convince you that you are physically older than your age and convince you to sign a 1 year contract. Be very careful , read the agreement carefully. I didn't.
The facilities are ok, but dont expect a trainer to even help you even if you are about to choke yourself with those fancy machines.
