I have gone to Healthreach a number of times through the past 15 years when it was more convenient, after hours, etc.. These visits have included things like a broken wrist, torn muscle, kidney infection, stitches, the flu and broken ribs. I have always received very professional care by a Provider that diagnosed the problem, discussed options for treatment and prescribed whatever was necessary. Most follow ups were done by my own physician who never has a question or a complaint about the care I received or the action they took. I know other people that have gone there with very good results also. And many that choose this option for Annual Physicals. For me, it is an option that I will always keep open for those times when I cannot get in to see my own Provider. I am thankful they are there to fill the needs I have. ...read more

With flu season upon us and swine flu in the press for the past 5 months, you'd think the docs would be on the lookout for it. Not so with PA Houtchens. He basically let me know I was wasting his time even coming in because I'm a smoker. Apparently I don't deserve the healthcare I am paying for since I smoke. He did not ask whether or not I exercise, eat healthy, etc. Which I do. Long story short, I ended up at my regular doc's office and I have the flu. Had Healthreach tested for it, I could have gotten the drugs to treat it. Now I have the flu AND bronchitis, paid for 2 doctor visit, missed 2 days of work. Worse healthcare ever. I'll never go back. ...read more

I have gone to Health Reach on and off throughout the years, when my primary physician office was closed or could not get me in. My last viisit at Health Reach was a total disaster, after explaining my symptoms to the P.A. he insisted that I was "ok" and graciously offered medicine for discomfort. Aren't physicians suppose to tx symptoms and not mask them? I declined the need for analgesics, and ended up going to a "real MD" that in turn costed me more money! Dont waste your time with Health Reach, could not only cost you more money, but may also cost you your health!!!!!! ...read more
