I would like to recommend The Locksmiths in Verona to anybody needing a locksmith. I called them about opening a bedroom door with a very old, broken lock. The bolt was stuck in the out position, the key didn't move it, and there was no way to remove the doorknob or take the door off the hinges. Dave Hornung, one of the owners, said that he could come over in 45 minutes, but it would cost $50, and explained a way that I could try removing a piece of trim to get at the bolt and how I could try to get it to move.He suggested that I try that first and then call back if I still couldn't get the door open. His idea worked! He could've made an easy $50-$100 off of me. He is obviously an ethical, knowledgeable guy. I would definitely call him again if I have any lock-related problems. ...read more

We've called on Ann at Badger Granite Werks for many different jobs; from repair work for jobs not installed by them to complete new counter top installations. We need your help to get rid of the scammers.
Hi Everyone,We have been trying for the past year to get rid of the scamming locksmiths inour area. They are actually all over the U.S. but a few places are taking action.Las Vegas, NV. have made arrests and Missouri is not allowing the numerousphone numbers they flood the phone book with in this year. If you havebeen scammed PLEASE report this! This is the only way we can get rid ofthem! They have phone numbers with fake addresses that don't belong to them.Some of them are not even trained to be a locksmith! They usually quote youa price and then when they get there it is 4 times higher then what theyquoted. They are not nice about collecting the money and they won't leaveuntil you pay them the outrageous amount. I have heard that people havecalled to get their locks rekeyed and they have come in and said they can'tbe rekeyed (when they can) they put on cheap locks and charge a fortune!I have seen one of their bills for opening a house and rekeying the billcame to $906.00! A real locksmith and locksmith co. would never evercharge that much it's unheard of. If you call one of these scamming locksmithsand they are forcing you to pay the bill....call the police!
