I went to Blush for my Bridal makeup and trial. I booked my trial a few weeks before the wedding and I was very pleased with the results. Sarah did an excellent job with my makeup and was very willing to adjust anything that I felt necessary. I called a few weeks before my wedding to see if I could schedule an appointment for my mom to have her makeup done and the woman that answered said that it would work best to just add her on to my appointment because Sarah never needs the entire hour for the bridal makeup. I was okay with that based on my experience at the trial. My experience for my bridal makeup on my wedding day was extremely disappointing, it was very unprofessional, and very stressful for me. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time and I was told to sit an wait until Sarah was ready. After waiting, and waiting, it was eventually about 10 minutes into my appointment time so I went and asked if we could get started. I was told by the receptionist that it would just be a few more minutes and not to worry. I was starting to get a little worried because the timeline on a wedding day is very specific and I didn't want to fall behind for everything I had scheduled. I sat back down and waited another 15 minutes (25 minutes into the scheduled appointment time) and I went up and explained that we NEEDED to get started because I had another appointment to get to after this one. The receptionist then finally informed me that Sarah was not even at the salon and that she was running late from an on-site wedding that she was doing that morning. The woman told me not to worry even as I explained my timeline and that my appointment had less time to begin with because my mom had been added on to it. She never once apologized and she seemed somewhat annoyed that I was worried. Sarah showed up to Blush 35 minutes after my appointment began. She then proceeded to speak to other customers and was missing in the back of the salon for another 5 to 10 minutes. She began my makeup, as well as my mom's, with 15 minutes left in the appointment. I was already getting very nervous about being late to my next appointment and the ceremony, and then Sarah truly stopped applying my makeup every time a customer entered the shop. She greeted every person and spoke with each for a couple of minutes as I was sitting there with my mom. I finally became very stern and told her that I needed her full attention because my appointment time was already over. She did become more focused at that point and eventually finished our makeup. I was actually happy with the results of both my makeup and my mom's but we didn't finish until 30 minutes later than we were supposed to. Sarah then quickly rang us up and then realized that the credit card machine wasn't working. She was unable to give us a receipt but the final price was about $30 more than I expected based on the prices that I was given when I scheduled the appointment. My mom and I didn't have time to dispute the charge because we were running so late but we think she just added the tip onto the charge. Overall, it was an extremely stressful experience and I was not impressed at all by the way that they dealt with the situation. I can understand someone running late but I expect an apology and I also expect full attention when that person arrives. It was absolutely ridiculous that she thought she could come in so late and then stop every couple of minutes to chat with customers.
