If there was a no star rating, I would pick that. Being one of a group of 12 who was stranded not once, but twice, and faced with finding my own means of transportation (included bus, cab, another airline...twice) I will never fly American again. I recommend the same for all my friends. The nicest comment we had in all our frustrations pretty much sums it up..."Oh honey we care, we just can't help you" Don't worry American...you won't have to ever help me again. After being delayed & delayed & then cancelled, we were told there was nothing they could do about getting us to Florida. This was not a weather related cancellation. We watched as other people boarded the same plane that we were suppose to board, so I don't believe the story that it was mechanical either. We went to another airline desk & they were VERY helpful - same day flight! The reason from a manager at American: "AA doesn't do business with that company, therefore, even if we saw that the flight was available, we wouldn't tell you about it." NO HELP to the traveler just because American Airlines doesn't play well with others. We were willing to pay more for our tickets but they wouldn't listen - they just didn't care & it showed. Then on the way back - DELAYED AGAIN & unwilling & uncaring attitudes for American Airline employees the whole way back - WE will NEVER AGAIN travel with American Airlines and I doubt the other 11 travelers I was with will either. ...read more
