I wonder if it's the same woman from the "Not Bad" review that I encountered...she had no clue about plants but acted as if she were a master gardener. I bought a vine but she insisted it was a fern, she said many of the other plants I bought were in their dormant stage though they were fully in bloom and OBVIOUSLY not dormant, even to a novice gardener. She was also very pushy. I asked another of the employees about a certain type of succulent I was looking for, which I've bought from them before, and cared for for years, and wanted another, I know exactly what it is, and what it's called but she insisted it was something different. Just because they're in the same family doesn't mean they look the same and she didn't seem to understand that and continued to insist that she was right and that I didn't know what I was talking about. The reason I am giving only 3 stars is because the woman who has helped us the last 2 times we were at Mays was extremely pushy and rude. She treated us like we knew nothing about plants. We are not novice gardeners or houseplant parents by any means. I always re-pot plants when I get them and have NEVER had one die on me but she sure told me how wrong I was to re-pot plants and that I was only asking for them to die by re-potting. She abused my plant with some chemical spray without asking me if I wanted it or not, which I DID NOT. Another time we were in she told us about how she followed people in their cars if they were talking on their cell phones and told them off for doing such a thing. The store itself is great, with a wide variety and price range of plants, but this particular employee makes me wary of visiting for fear of be berated and treated like I'm stupid.
