About Dunbar, WI
Dunbar is a town located in northeastern Wisconsin in Marinette County. Founded in 1888, the town supported the local logging business via the railraod. The town was named after a local restaurant cook named Dunbar who was well known to the railroad workers. A famous person from Dunbar was the United States Postmaster General John Gronouski. Local public schools are part of the Beecher Dunbar Pembine School District. Northland Baptist Bible College is also located in Dunbar. Local businesses include North Country Inn and Lily Lake Campgrounds.
