About Crivitz, WI
The village of Crivitz, named by a settler after his home in Germany, is located in in Marinette County, Wisconsin, in the Marinette metro area. Major attractions include the Crivitz Area Museum Complex and the Don Brooks Peshtigo River Trail. Each year in September, the Fall Harvest Festival is held here. One of the best places to visit when you are in Crivitz is 2,800-acre Governor Thompson State Park, a day-use park located 30 minutes away and a place where you can enjoy activities such as boating, hiking, berry picking, fishing, swimming, picnicking, relaxing and hunting for deer. A notable resident of Crivitz has included NFL player, Pete Banaszak.
