Of course its always great to use your hand painted stemware for wine, martinis or margaritas, but how about a few other suggestions. These are a few I have used while entertaining. Place your martini or margarita glass in the freezer for an hour. Remove and dip the rim in sugar. Fill with an assortment of fruit/berries, and serve. Place the glass on a doily to help absorb the moisture from the glass. Use a wine glass as a vase for shorter stemmed flowers, (pansies, violas, tree roses, dwarf irises, etc. You can choose a glass that compliments the decor in the room you are using it in. Decorate your patio with some candlelight using margarita glasses and blooms from peonies, dahlias, or Hybiscuis. Place the bloom in the bowl of the glass and add a tealight in the center of the flower. (With the peonies and dahlias you may need to remove a few of the center petals so that the tealight can set flat and not burn the petals. Use a glass painted with a seasonal design and fill with nuts or candies Turn the glasses upside down and use several of them as a multi-tier cake stand. So, just a few ideas.
