INCREASE YOUR BUSINESS IN WENATCHEE

Imagine a customer looks through theWenatchee Yellow Pagesfor a business to solve his problem and finds your ad. He calls but no one answers the phone and he is sent to your voice mail. Clearly, he, like most people, moves to the next ad and you lose that customer. If you don’t answer the phone, your competitor will.      We live in the age ofnowand the Wenatchee Yellow Pages deals withnowneeds.Nowis more important than price and loyalty. The phone rarely rings at the best times. Calls come while you are working with a customer or on a lunch break. ADVERTISING TO YAKIMA’S BABY BOOMERS

Targeting a generation in advertising in theYakima Phone Bookand other media can beincrease revenues. Baby Boomers are more than a fourth of the U.S. population but account for more than half of all consumer spending. Today Baby Boomers are between the ages of 48 and 66. They are the highest income earners with a medium average income that is nearly 60% greater than other age-groups. They possess 80% of the national personal financial assets. Around 80% of them own their own homes and they also account for 80% of all leisure travel.      Although they have tremendousbuying power, most of today’s advertising dollars are directed to the 18 to 35 age-group. Boomers and seniors are almost completely ignored in most business advertising. This is due to erroneous and old-fashioned ideas about how the more mature adults are set in their ways and have never been impacted by advertising.       Studies show:      1-Boomers are usually not particularly loyal to any one business. They are looking for the best deals.      2-If Boomers like you, they will tell their friends. If you give them a bargain, they will return.      3-They like to feel young.Besides travel, they spend their money on recreation, weight loss, cosmetic surgery, and cosmetic products.      4-They spend a lot on the younger generations. They buy cars, computers and clothes for their children and grandchildren and help pay for their college.      5-They are getting older.Businesses who advertise to them will see increased revenues.       Boomers are usually not as technologically advanced as the younger generations. Many still prefer print media, especially when dealing with emergencies. They will not be forgotten for long. Businesses are already starting to spendadvertising dollarson them in the Yakima Phone Book.  ...read more

ADVERTISING TO BABY BOOMERS IN WENATCHEE-YP

Focusing on a generation in advertising in theWenatchee Yellow Pagescan be profitable.  Baby Boomers are more than one-fourth of the U.S. population but account for more than half of allconsumer spending. Baby Boomers are now between 42 and 64. They are the highest income earners with a medium average income that is 60% greater than other generations. They possess 80% of the national personal financial assets. Also 80% of them own their own homes. They also account for 80% of all leisure travel.       Although they have so much buying power, most of today’sadvertising dollarstarget the 18 to 30 year olds. Ironically most businesses almost completely ignore the Boomers. This can be attributed to old and wrong-headed ideas about how the more mature adults are set in their ways and are no longer influenced by advertising.       Research shows:      1-Boomers are usually not loyal to any one business. They are looking for the best buys.      2-If Boomers like you, they will tell their friends. If you get them a better deal, they will reward you.      3-They like to feel young. They spend money on travel, recreation, cosmetic surgery, and weight loss.      4-They spend a lot of money on the younger age-groups. They buy cars, computers and clothes for their children and grandchildren and help pay for their college expenses.      5-Boomers are getting older.Business people who target them will see increased revenues.       Boomers are usually not quite as technologically advanced as the younger generations. Many still prefer print media, especially when dealing with emergencies. They will not be forgotten for long.Businessesare already starting to spend advertising dollars on them in the Wenatchee Yellow Pages and other advertising media.  ...read more
