Just for clarification, they make great bread in a round form. However, they do not make actual, real bagels. What is called a "bialy" does not remotely resemble in any way, shape or form what a bialy is. What is sold as lox, might be definitionally true, but it would make real Nova Scotia embarrassed. IF I COULD I WOULD LEAVE -5 STARS I just have to say that the manager (TJ) is the most rude and condescending person I have had to deal with in a long time. The food was either way over cooked or way under cooked and when I say under cooked I mean FROZEN!!!!!!! I bit into a piece of broccoli and it was frozen!!! When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that she would be out to talk to me just has soon as (TJ-the manager) was done yelling at the cooks for letting frozen food go out. Well (TJ) never came to talk to me after waiting 25 mins for (TJ) I left and when I called to speak a manager (TJ) got on the phone and like I said she was rude and condescending and then told me that I did speak to a manager (MY SERVER). After she was done blowing smoke I asked for the corporate office number where I could file a complaint and she gave me the wrong number and when I called back she just told me to visit the website on my receipt and do the survey. The waitress authorized payment using my debit card, brought the receipt for my signature and before I signed it someone ordered another menu item. The waitress provided me with the option to add the additional menu item to existing bill that I was about to sign for and I agreed. She then returned with a second receipt for my signature which I signed and included a tip. Two days later my bank checking account indicated that both the first receipt for $82.00 had been deducted from my checking account as well as the second receipt for $100.00. When I phoned Big Al's to inform them that the $82.00 amount was deducted in error they indicated that it did not show on their end that they deducted this amount therefore they would not refund the money. They also indicated that it should reverse from my account automatically. I phoned my bank to see if this would be the case and they verified, no, it has cleared my account. I have been to this bowling alley a million times and usually it's decent but I was highly disappointed this time. We got there and just walking up to the building we saw not 1 not 2 but 4 different piles of vomit near the two different doors they have. Secondly if I come up to the desk to pay have half a mind to put down your food and do your job! Lastly our bowls kept getting stuck through out our whole time bowling . I've gone to this restaurant off and on for maybe 5 years. Not every week by any means, months will pass between visits, and yet every time we go, the proprietor remembers us, our order preferences... She has always included my two kids in some kind of conversation. The service all around is Very friendly, very prompt and the food tastes great, especially for the price.
