Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts still going strong

This was a great weekend for us here at Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts.  Ryan "The Mongoose" Mulvahil destroyed his opponent with a guillotine choke in 1:03 of first round.  Ryan has now improved to 3-0 and has spent less than one round in the ring in all three fights combined.  Ryan is a Black Belt in Guillotine's.  Trevor "The Mangler" Melby had a real tough fight against a huge opponent and even though he lost the fight in the second round, he is still a winner, because he showed great heart and didn't quit.  He was able to use his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to survive on the ground, and even though he lost his opponent looked worse than Trevor.  It was a great friday night in Missoula, Mt.  Brian Deets put on another great show for Fight Force.  T.J. Gallaher fought for the 205 title in Walla Walla, Wa saturday night and walked through his opponent in less than twenty seconds.  Left head kick followed by right cross did the job.  T.J. Gallaher is now the 205 title holder for Combat Cage Warriors run by Anthony Hamlet.  This makes Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts 7-1 in our last eight fights.  I'm really proud of these guys and it just shows what great Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing training does for fighters.  If you want to become a winner, and be part of a winning tradition, come train with us at Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts. ...read more

T.J. Gallaher is fighting in the cage on July 18, 2009 in Walla Walla, Wa for the 205 title.  I feel sorry for the guy with the belt, because he has no idea what he has just got himself into.  If T.J. doesn't knock him out with Icon Muay Thai Kickboxing, he will be breaking his arm with Icon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.   ...read more

Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts goes 2-0 at Excitefight.

Ryan (The Mongoose) Mulvihill wins in the first round by TKO ref stoppage.  Ryan came out and got the take down immediately, he controlled his opponent while in side control and quickly moved to mount.  Ryan was able to create the space and then started to reign blows down on his opponent. After several unanswered blows the ref moved in and called a stoppage to the fight.  Ryan (The Mongoose) Mulvihill is now 2-0 and is looking forward to his next fight in Montana.  Hard work really pays off and so does training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing at Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts. Neil (The Killa Nilla) Woodard wins in the first round by RNC.  This fight was a great test for Neil, he was coming off of back to back losses and was fighting an undefeated opponent.  The start of the first round was great with Neil coming out calm and looking great.  Neil used a good stiff jab and kicks to keep his opponent off.  Neils opponent was able to get a single leg and in the process of taking Niel down, Niel transitioned to the guys back and sunk a killa rear naked choke and finished the fight by submission.  Again we have proven that great training a great coaches pay off.  Come and check Icon Gym Mixed Martial Arts out at www.icongymspokane.com and put wins on your record. ...read more
