It stretches around 1,325 sq. km. All of these protected areas envelop forested land of Nepal. They are situated in various altitudes from the low land of terai to mountains. Due to this reason these place are rich in biodiversity. Botanists have identified 1,120 and 5,160 species of nonflowering and flowering plants in Nepal so far. Nepal ranks 10th in terms of flowering plant diversity in Asia. Similarly, according to zoologist, there are 181 species mammals, more than 900 species of birds, 100 reptiles, 43 species of amphibians and 185 species of fishes. It is also reported that there are more than 650 species of butterflies in Nepal. After the afternoon jungle activities of 2-3 hours, refreshing hours at leisure, evening program slide show on Chitwan National Park and it's history, flora and wildlife. Cultural Tharu Stick Dance. Usually dinner is served at 8 pm. The dinner will be buffet of Nepali dishes or Chinese-Indian dishes. Day 3: Early morning wake up call with a knock at the door for different activities. After breakfast, prepare to leave the lodge for the short drive to Bharatpur Airport for 20 minutes flight back to Kathmandu. Approx. 190 km. You can also opt for a bus ride instead of flight.
