You get what you pay for...State Farm means VALUE.

Good Neighbor Service When you purchase a policy from State Farm®, you're guaranteed more than fast, efficient service. With every policy comes the promise that we will be there when you need us. That is why our ads say, "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.®" It's a philosophy we embrace and try to live by every day. For us, Good Neighbor service means being there when and where we're needed to do what we've promised. Within 48 hours after the 1994 Northridge, Calif., earthquake, 600 claims people from across the United States and Canada joined local claims people. Two DC-8 jet freighters loaded with 434,415 pounds of office supplies promptly arrived. Five mobile catastrophe offices handled 3,414 phone calls in the first two days of operation. Two months after the earthquake, the number of State Farm people still helping policyholders exceeded 1,600, including more than 1,000 exclusively handling claims. The Corporate Call Center received a total of 24,000 calls. The entire State Farm family -- more than 16,000 agents and 76,500 employees -- is committed to providing Good Neighbor service. State Farm agents and employees are located throughout the United States and Canada. State Farm associates can be found at Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, Ill.; 27 regional offices; more than 1,000 claim offices; and nearly 16,000 agents' offices. We've built a strong, successful organization by keeping our promises -- one policyholder at a time. State Farm agents are independent contractors who sell only State Farm products. In return, State Farm markets our products only through the State Farm agency force. This marketing partnership is the cornerstone of our success. When you buy insurance you invest in an intangible. You don't have an object you can set on a table or show your friends. What you do have is our promise to provide protection and give excellent service. We kept our promise in 1922 when we paid our first claim. And we're busy keeping our promises today. We pay more than $60 million on more than 35,000 claims every day. State Farm was built on face-to-face Good Neighbor service. Today, even though we have more than 64 million policies, we still believe and live by Good Neighbor service. It's more than a slogan; it's the way we set ourselves apart from other companies. It's been that way since G.J. Mecherle founded the Company in 1922. It's a State Farm tradition. ...read more
