Sylvan Learning Center in Sammamish, along with several other changes, has turned my child into a girl that loves to learn and is excited about school! In a short time she has attended Sylvan (last few weeks of previous school year and this school year), the staff has played an integral part in helping make my daughter an independent, confident student who now has straight A's! Their study skills tutoring has provided my child with tools and study approaches that can be used across all disciplines, and writing tutoring focuses in specific areas of improvement. Scheduled family conferences provides bidirectional communication enabling both tutors and family to adjust based on progress and upcoming school assignments. The teachers care so much about the children at Arbor. They allow the children to grow and learn at their own pace. It is really amazing to see so many children working on so many different things at once. You should definitely check it out. ...read more

I have had all three of my children at the Sylvan Learning Center in Sammamish for about 2 years now. My oldest has been taking math classes through Sylvan for credit while my other 2 children have taken reading and writing classes for extra support. The pace of their classes has been totally individualized for each of them so if they need more time understanding a concept the teachers take the time. All three have really liked their teachers and they look forward to going there! I like the feedback I receive once a month and the willingness to work with our busy and changing schedules. I also like the opportunity I have that while the kids are in their classes I can either get a little grocery shopping done or I can sit and relax at Starbucks! ...read more
