Snocope Federal Credit Union

My Mother recently passed away having a loan with a small balance with snocope. At the time of her death her retirement and social security checks were directly deposited in her joint account with her daughter one of four of her kids. Snocope immediately froze her account without notification to the executor or the family . Then when her retirement check was directly deposited the bank said they sent it back so it could be redistributed according to will. That was a lie and they did not send it back, but kept it and closed the account causing the family a considerable inconvenience. For years the whloe family has banked there and I have to wonder why. They do NOT communicate well with long time customers, there rates are typically a half to a full point higher compared to other credit unions in the area and with only one branch and one ATM at the courthouse it just doesn't make dollars or sence. ...read more
