About Jericho, VT
Jericho is part of the Chittenden County region of Vermont, which holds the highest population of the state. The town, chartered in 1763, has three distinct village areas. Old Red Mill is the historic district, known for its impressive architecture. Jericho Center is home to historic buildings and churches, as well as the Jericho County Store, Vermont's oldest general store. The Riverside, or "Flats" area has a post office, two more general stores, two schools, and the Mills Riverside Park, which holds a concert series every summer. One of the best places to visit when you are in Jericho is the Town Green, which holds a variety of outdoor events. Jericho was the home of photographer Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley.
