I am not suggesting you stay clear of Ski Rack for bike service (even though I will), I simply want to share a recent nightmare service. Ski Rack charged me $30. for a "Safety Check" on my daughters bike, indicating it would be a take 1/2 hour of labour and possibly some incidental shop supplies. To my HORROR I got the bike back with rear brake pads that hit the tires instead of the wheel, and a brake cable that was badly frayed with many broken strands - as in less that 1/2 the original diameter remaining. The chain was dry, nothing had been checked, lubed, nothing was done. Did they simply overlook the repair - well, I checked with the mechanic and he assured me the bike was safe before I left the store.... I can forgive a lot of things - but disregard for safety of others by a so-called professional service shop is not on the list. The other is a garage not tightening lug nuts on your car after a tire change - although - at least in that case you would have a seat belt. ...read more

Give this shop a thumbs up. Very personable folks. Great customer service. Delivered bike rentals to our hotel and didn't charge us for it..Traveled lots, best service yet for a bike rental.Knew what they were talking about.too. ...read more
