Wonderfully different from most chain mexican, their menu tends toward a more southern/coastal Mexican style menu. The parilla fiesta is HUGE and wonderful. Easily feeds two. They have a large selection of lunch and dinner items. Tortilla chips served with salsa and refried bean/cheese dip are served after you're seated. The meals, especially the "Special Dinner" are HUGE. We have eaten here many times and while few menu items have much 'heat', they have a variety of sauces if you desire them. They have managed to keep a more traditional Mexican taste rather than the overly spicy "Tex-Mex" that many Americans have become so used to. Locally owned, this little pizza parlor with the hard to deal with parking lot is well worth the trouble. While they used to hand toss their pizzas, they have changed to a more mass produced product. However, even though the crust isn't what it used to be, the pizza sauce, their special cheese and great sauce still shine through. The pizzas and stromboli are made to order, so if you don't want to wait you can call ahead and it will be ready when you get there, even if you're going to eat at the restaurant. We loved their thick crust pizza, but with the changes, we now order a TWO crust pizza which is the equivalent of what was once their thick crust. Their thick crust now is like a regular USED to be.
