Boy was it getting dry here in Virginia, and we needed rain so bad here in Wythe County. It was getting scarey, wondering if the wells was going to dry up. Things have been so dusty this summer and everyone was getting worried about the mountains catching on fire, but finally....... we are getting rain and we are loving it. The leaves are falling fast now but we still had time to enjoy the beautiful fall season. We got some beautiful pictures of the wild turkeys crossing the road in front of us this week, the yard has been full of deer, squirrels and ONE BIG BUCK. I love this time of year wth all the beautiful fall colors and the weather cooling off. What a pleasure it is to live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and to be able to enjoy all the nature. We ride bikes on the New River Trail and I was so saddened to hear of the lady from North Carolina getting killed by a rock. Such a peaceful place to ride and enjoy the nature on the trail. Its a place you can go and forget about everything for just a little awhile. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Well its almost time for Crocketts Country Store to have their big Christmas Open House. It will be coming up onNovember 17th {10 to 6} be sure and try to be there for all the free gifts and food.{don't forget that good Apple Cider}.
