I would never use Maria Woods or exit realty again, I find her to be very rude. I had emails from maria with her rude comments and low blow comments to my husband that she had sent and i sent them to her broker and she did nothing and if you ask me her broker sounded like a bitchy 16 year old standing up for her "best friend". I do not believe exit realty has common courtesy or are people "friendly". She was the property manager and her broker said to me" your not paying her she doesnt work for you." So does that give her the right to be rude and snarky to people? I would not reccomend her or the company to anyone, I think she and her "broker" are just down right mean.(this is for their chesapeake office) ...read more

Complained the ENTIRE time about how many boxes we had, and that we were on the 3rd floor of our apartment building (no elevator) - even though we told them when we booked. They were slow, and dropped our boxes. They failed to use furniture cloths even though they were in the truck, so our furniture was scratched. They also scratched the hardwood floors in our new house. I would NEVER use Two Guys and a Truck again! I could have hired 13-year old girls who would have whined less and done a better job. ...read more

3 Economical Projects That Add Value To Your VA Beach VA Home For Sale

In this competitive real estate market, how do you make yourVirginia Beach VA Homefor sale shine without breaking the bank? Here are three inexpensive projects to help your VirginiaBeach VA home for salerise above the competition. Low-cost kitchen countertops.Simply upgrading the countertops can change the whole look of your kitchen. Even on a limited budget, you can have granite. Shop around for the best price on granite slabs. Some colors are less expensive than others. To save even more, go forgranite tiles. Both options provide the granite countertops buyers love. Economical bathroom projects. There are many reasonably priced products available to bring your bathroom into the 21 Century. New tile, whether on the floor or the walls, is an obvious way to upgrade the look of any bathroom. The way to get the most for your money is to use budget-priced tile for most of your project and save the expensive tile for accents. If you’re redoing the bathroom floor, the addition of in-floor heating is a good investment. No need to call the pro’s for this one;in-floor heatinghas become a do-it-yourself project. Budget-friendly floor updates.Floors are an area that can run into big bucks, if you don’t know where to splurge and where to save. Carpeting is one place you want to spend a little more. Cheap carpet stands out and so does poor installation. You want something durable and stain-resistant in a neutral color. Wood flooring is a great choice. There are a few options to pick from depending on your budget. Laminate is not a recommended choice; it’s equivalent to vinyl. If solid hardwood is not in the budget, thenengineered hardwoodis the best choice. It’s durable and long lasting. Also, it can be sanded and refinished just like solid hardwood. If you’d like toput your Virginia Beach VA home up for sale, and want ideas on how to make it stand out from the competition, I can help. VA Beach VA Real Estate: What Type of Mortgage is Right for You?

You’ve been watching the news, reading blogs and you know this is the perfect time for you tobuy a piece of Virginia Beach VA real estate. You want to do all the right things to get the best deal, and you know one of the first steps is to line up your financing. To help you pick a mortgage that matches your goals and financial situation, here’s an overview of three of the most popular mortgages available today. Fixed Rate Mortgage If you plan on keeping your newVirginia Beach VA real estatefor more than 10 years and you don’t expect your income to change, this is probably the loan for you. Although fixed rate loans charge a bit more interest, the rate will never change. This provides financial stability and the security of knowing what your monthly mortgage payment will be. By locking in the current low interest rates, you’ll save thousands of dollars over the life of your loan. ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) With theARM loan, the interest rate is usually very low at the beginning but can increase over time. If you plan on keeping yourVirginia Beach VA real Estatefor only a few years (up to 7) or you expect your income to increase, then this might be a better choice for you. If you expect your income to increase, an ARM loan can allow you to buy a more expensive home now. The drawback to this type of loan is that you do not know what your mortgage payment is going to be in the future; if the interest rate jumps dramatically, then so does your payment. A particularly popular ARM is the 5/1 ARM. The interest rate of a 5/1 ARM is fixed for a period of 5 years. In the 6th year, the loan becomes a typical Adjustable Rate Mortgage. So if you plan to own your home for less than 5 years, the 5/1 ARM may be your best choice. FHA Mortgage If your credit is a bit shaky, anFHA loanmay be a good fit for you. The qualifying criteria for FHA loans are not as strict as for traditional mortgages. Also, because these loans are guaranteed by the FHA, lenders often allow you to provide a smaller down payment than they would allow for other types of mortgages. If you’re in a time crunch, an FHA loan may not be right for you; processing times are typically longer than other types of loans because of the government paperwork involved. If you have any questions about mortgages or need a referral to a lender, give me a call today at give me a call 757-403-4287 or email me atdawn@dawnsellshomesnow.com Search Virginia Beach Real Estate For Sale Dawn Leehas lived in the Chesapeake Bay community for over 22 years.
