Retained The Firm for divorce case. Was promised waiver of retainer for doing some ads for company with satisfactory resolution. Total waste of time and money. Within 30 days, my $2000.00 retainer was gone with only one 30 minute meeting with an attorney who didn't know anything about my case-all work done by paralegal. Charged $500.00 to scan documents I GAVE them! $50.00 for an email informing me paralegal had spoken to attorney! $50.00 for leaving a voicemail! Ridiculous. I then complained about billing practices suggesting that all I was doing was paying for their radio advertising. All phone calls are recorded without my knowledge. When I complained Swango terminated our agreement keeping my entire $2000.00 retainer! In 2 months this "Firm" didn't do anything for me, but rip me off. Reckless driving? That wasn't me! and so I recited every detail to an attorney from Swango Law P.C. Sometimes you just find yourself on the wrong side of the law and you just become conscious to the fast after you've spotted an officer.In two occasions now,I've been stopped by police officers for traffic Violations.One was for over-speeding.It was such a serious case that I had to hire a competent lawyer to speak the language of the"Learned friends".I got a number from a friend,and yes,it was Swango Law a professional Corporation,Virginia Beach.They made a joke out of the case even though I still had to pay some small fine.It's a highly recommended law firm for all traffic offences,divorce for men,and a host of other legal services. ...read more
