I am the quiet parent that sits in the lobby and watches all that goes on throughout the classes. To tell you the truth, at first I thought, this guy can't be for real, no one is that passionate about teaching martial arts. Well, I was WRONG!!! Mr. Kroetsch is 100% dedicated to each and every student at the Red Mill ATA Academy. He not only cares about how that are doing in their martial arts progress, but he also cares about how they are doing at home, work and school. It is great to see his family and friends supporting him as well, helping him make making special treat bags for the holidays, planning a picnic (the kids loved the egg hunt), taking pictures and attending functions throughout the year! When our son, Robbie, first stated taking classes at the Princes Anne Academy we knew that this was what we wanted him to do. Shortly after he started our other son decided that he would also like to take classes. At that time we started as a family and soon after went into the instructor program, this was something that we wanted to do not only for our future but for others. As we grew in our abilities we began to see what a change that was occurring within ourselves and the other students that we knew. The changes that we have seen in the students with Senior Master Thomas are a fantastic accomplishment. From seeing parents have to stand on the floor with the kids the first few classes to seeing them grow to where they are in front of the classes assisting the instructors. Determination and Focus Testimonial My mom and I are going to write this letter for Master Thomas and Mrs. Thomas. I was unfocused and confused in my life. My grades were dropping and I was running around the house causing my mother horrible headaches. That was until she brought me to Master Tracy Lee at Changing Lives Martial Arts. In Karate for Kids Life Skills, Master Tracy Lee Thomas taught me skills that will follow me throughout my life, not just stay in his dojo. This is exactly what I needed, not just martial arts protection skills, but better life skills. After she saw how I changed, my mom even signed herself up for adult programs at Changing Lives. Before I arrived at Changing Lives, my grades were bad, I did not have many friends, and I was causing problems with my parents at home. Not only did Master Lee help improve my physical condition, he helped me grow as a person. Karate for Kids taught me to listen better and gave me the confidence to turn in better school work. I respect authority figures more, and I even volunteer to help with the dishes after dinner! My classmates noticed that I was no longer acting out, and I have more friends now. After Karate for Kids, I now have the confidence to be myself and the best me I can be. My older sister joined Changing Lives' teen program. She found that it helped her gain confidence at school and around her friends. She got into better shape and developed taekwondo skills to help keep her safe. Teens love the friendships that they find at CLMA. We are so lucky to have a top ten rated school here in our neighborhood. When my mother discovered what her children were doing, she joined too! She loves that it keeps her fit and gives her confidence around town. She loves the friends that she has met at Changing Lives, and how great she looks and feels. Adults can take classes focusing on martial arts, or just for fitness and fun. Changing Lives is operated by Master Lee, a seventh degree black belt. They have a top ten rated facility according to the American Taekwondo Association. They win Gold at "Best of the Beach" and "Best of Chesapeake" all the time! They are the best. Virginia Beach Martial Arts Review Dedication and Commitment
Testimonial and Review Dedication and Commitment Since I first enrolled in the karate for kids program at Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts, I have found that is helped me in many ways. I have become a better athlete, and I have become more focused on my schoolwork and respectful to my parents. I have also learned to be more dedicated and committed to my schoolwork even when it is hard sometimes. Training in martial arts at the karate for kids program at CLMA is pretty fun most of the time. I get to see my friends from class and learn from cool teachers like Master Thomas. We learn kicks, punches, strikes, self-defense and different forms. But sometimes the training we do is pretty hard. We have to do lots of push-ups and repeat kicks many times until I feel like my leg is going to fall off. But in karate we learn that we have to always keep trying and never give up, even when something is hard to do. Maintaining dedication to karate it helps me to become a better martial artist and a better person overall. The same dedication and commitment I learn in my martial arts classes also helps me to be dedicated to my schoolwork. Schoolwork can be hard sometimes and a lot of the time I don't really feel like doing it, especially in math class. But my teachers at the karate for kids program always tell us to have a never say die attitude and to practice indomitable spirit. I tell myself this when I am in school and things get hard, and it makes it easier for me to stay focused and dedicated. Now I always stay focused on what the teacher is saying and listen in class. Since I started training in martial arts I have had better grades and even been on the honor roll and student of the month board. I do not think I would be as focused and committed to my schoolwork if it weren't for training at CLMA with Master Thomas and the other instructors. When we have to do hard things in martial arts class, all my friends and fellow students always encourage each other to stay committed and to do the best we can. I am very grateful to be able to study martial arts and to have become more dedicated to my schoolwork and more helpful around the house with my parents. Before martial arts I would become frustrated easily and I would want to give up if something was hard in school. I did not listen to my teachers in class and I would not do my homework and instead try to copy my friend's on the bus. Now I am dedicated to doing the best job I can do in school, around the house and everywhere else in my life.
