I recently went to Jersey City, New Jersey for a few days. Staying at the Holiday Inn by the waterfront was a fantastic experience. It was right by the river so I could spent my time waling around the scenery. The view of the New York skyline was spectacular, specially in the evenings. I love Indian food, and so was overjoyed to find an excellent Indian Restaurant right across the hotel, Raaz. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful, and they even have boxed lunches. There were many other fine restaurants close by also, so I was able to try several different types of food. The hotel was right on the local train line, so going to New York was a snap. I was able to get up early, and take the train to New York over the weekend. Unfortunately, I was unable to spend as much time there as I would like, but I did get to enjoy several events such as King Tut exhibition that I had wanted to see for a very long time but somehow was never able to. I was also able to enjoy Times Square and shopping in busy market areas. I enjoyed my trip, and since I had not been in that area for over 5 years, I found it refreshing and enjoyable, much more then on my previous trips.
