Double D Towing

Double d towing stole my car. It was parked legally in a private parking space, yet had dead tags. According to HOA by laws, dead tags do not warrant a tow. When we were quoted to get it ou we were told $300, an hour later, when we showed up the price was $525 and they only accepted cash (virginia law states that all tow companies must accept credit card). We did not have the cash to get it out and were told that after 4 days, it was being sent to auction. The current lawsuit against them is for fraudulent charges and the police are all aware if their illegal practices. Everyone in town should be aware that they are crooks, even if they right their own reviews (see below, they were all written by double d employees). release the gear that operates the emergency break. AWESOME!, since I'm not a mechanic in any sort of way. A few more minutes of paperwork and running my credit card, and I was able to get back home without having to spend a much longer night of being towed to my dealer for a night drop. Obviously this would have made the situation much more inconvenient for me and my family's schedule. I asked Harry if I could include a tip on my bill, and he said he was just happy he was able to assist me in getting back on the road. He indicated that his fee was already included in the trip charge!
