About Rapidan, VA

Rapidan is a small-unincorporated community in Culpeper County, Virgina. It is home to the Rapidan historic district and dates back to the 18th century. It was once known as a mill town named Waugh’s Ford. In 1854 it was renamed Rapid Ann Station, and in 1886 named Rapidan. During the civil war the town was almost completely destroyed. The town later became a center for the shipment of wood products. Local businesses include Summerleas Farm Hunting Preserve and Retreat Farm Produce Company LLC.

This company ripped us off. Do NOT hire this company to do any residential landscaping. They contracted to pull a stump and replace a pine tree at my home. They just covered the stump, the replacement tree is dying after 4 months (which was planted too close to the home and at an angle). Now they are 'too busy' to even come look at their shoddy work.
