Customer service at this location is miserable here. Their rep, Tara Reid, doesn't understand good customer service involves being considerate to other people waiting in line. She takes a ridiculous amount of time with each person, every time I have come in here, so expect to wait a very, very long time if there is anyone in front of you. I went in to have my name changed on my account after getting married, and had to wait nearly 45 minutes for her to deal with a customer opening a checking account. The last time I came in, I arrived at 4:30, and didn't leave until 5:45, spending nearly the entire time waiting for Ms. Reid to deal with ONE CUSTOMER, again, opening a new account. She kept making all these insurance sales pitches and reading through every single little pamphlet, like the person was illiterate. It was beyond ridiculous. Additionally, Ms. Reid appears to be just as incompetent as she is inconsiderate to the people waiting on her. When I dealt with Ms. Reid in getting my name changed, she told me that I needed to have my name updated on my social security card before she could process it on my account. I waited almost 2 months for my new social security card to come in the mail, went to the Wards Corner branch, and was told by the rep there that I didn't need to provide an updated social security card after all that. And it is not just this branch that I have had problems with. Every other banker I have dealt with at BB&T has been either shady or incompetent. It took me a total of four months and 5 visits to get my name changed. The first three I spent dealing with a branch in Maryland, who messed up my name change form twice and ended up sending me 3 new check cards with my old name on it. And the rep at the Ward's corner signed me up for a credit card without my consent, which ended up damaging my credit score when I told their customer service I never approved it and asked them to close it. And here's another bonus fact; they withdraw $2 out of your account every time you call their customer service hotline to get their mistakes straightened out. Nice, huh? I have never had a single problem dealing with Suntrust, Navy Federal, or Chase, yet BB&T has consistently caused problems for me every single time I have dealt with them in person. BB&T is poorly run, their policies are shady, and their bankers are more concerned with making sales pitches and signing people up for credit cards than providing good customer service. I will not trust my money with them again. ...read more

Norfolk Va Citifinancial- Never ever again will I use this company. Customer service is horrible. The manager Natalie is very rude and unprofessional and doesn't seem to know much about anything. We used a military budget program (not debt consolidation mind you) and their payment to them wasn't even a day late and they called @ 5:30 that day. They will call all day starting at 7am until dinnertime and later. They harrass you to the point where you want to change your number. Our credit is near perfect and we've never been made to feel like we were irresponsible people until now. If we would have known that the military budget program was going to take this long to process and get started w/ them, we would have just made the payment to keep these bloodsuckers off our backs. They are a money-hungry business with nothing to offer. There are too many other facilities that wil loan you money and treat you like a valued customer. Please do yourself a favor and use ...read more
