While Tyler Sellers was a pleasant, knowledgeable, patient, and even fun salesman for the self-imposed, long drawn out wait to get my Corvette, the actual purchase was rather painful. First the agreed upon price was wrong. No problem just a 30-minute wait while those in the glass palace took their time to generate a new piece of paper with the correct out the door price. Once we had that, we had to wait for a Finance Manager (who do they manage anyway??). There are at least three who work there (I don’t have any names as none of them passed out a business card) but only one as working the afternoon of Monday March 4th. He sat at his desk for over an hour talking to/working with a co-worker as we waited. Seems like the wrong priority. They’re not prepared for a Museum Delivery, but that’s another discussion. At the conclusion of our business, he apologized for our wait, saying he wasn’t there. He was, while we waited just outside. \r\nA week later I was contacted to ensure I was completely satisfied with my sales experience. I informed them that I was more than satisfied with Tyler, but far less than satisfied with the Financial Manager. I was asked if I’d like to talk to a sales manager or the General Manager. I responded that I would like to talk to the GM. I was told he would be informed of my desire. A day or two later Tyler said he would send the GM a reminder. This dealership needs to be a must visit if you are shopping for a vehicle!!!! My dealership experience started Monday 21 Jan 2019 at RK Chevrolet. I spent 3 hours at the dealership found a vehicle and began the process. I ended up leaving on Monday because we could not come to an agreement. So on Tuesday I get a couple text and a phone call with a better offer but not even close enough to even make me think about going back to the dealership. Fast forward to Wednesday I get a text message from the dealership stating hey I think we can get to the number you are comfortable with can you bring your trade in today to finish it up. Of course at this time I’m getting kind of excited because I’m about to have my dream muscle car in my possession. I take my truck in and spend 3 more hours there only to be very highly disappointed because we almost started over and going through 2 more people we couldn’t come to agreement. So needless to say I left without my car!!! So on Thursday I decided I was going to give another dealership a shot to close the deal!!! What a difference in the process between dealerships. I asked to speak with a sales representative and met Yasumaily! After going through the 4 day drama with her, giving the numbers I got at RK and the numbers I was trying to be at she looked right at me and said don’t worry we got you. Recently purchased our new 2015 Suburban from Rick Hendrick Chevrolet. Our salesman was Michael Boatright. My wife and I had a great experience and they were extremely courteous and ultimately we were able to get the deal we were looking for. The process was a little longer than expected but buying a new car is never quick. After the sale there were a few things that needed to be taken care of and the salesman has been great at responding and setting up a follow on visit for us to get that taken care of which goes to show they care about customer service. I don't know why I continue to give this place or any merchants a second chance . Only reason I can come up with is they are every where and locations are convenient . 1st took a company vehicle in for brake pads nothing wrong with a truck that is 2 years old but they ended up scamming my company out if 1500.00 all I needed were BRAKE PADS . 2nd Took my personal truck in for oil change and tire rotation, marked my tires so I would know if they rotated them or not . Picked it up oil change complete but no true rotation but was still charged for it . 3rd Took my personal truck in oil change and tire rotation, marked tires again . Picked it up tires rotated checked the oil dipstick still black , never changed my oil but was still charged for it . 4th Bought 4 new tires in a merchants in Richmond on my way to DC to work for the week . Nice tires , nice price . Picked it up got on the interstate truck is shaking . Later found out they didn't even balance my new tires but charged me for it . 5th Waited to the last minute to get a oil change everybody else around was closed . Dreaded to go to merchants but I did. Went to drop company vehicle off and pay with a Wright Express national credit card , the manager didn't know how to use it wanted me to leave the card there ( know way was I going to do that ) . He then asked if I could bring it back tomorrow . NO I Can't . We as people are already busy enough and you would expect an establishment as well known as Merchants would give you BETTER SERVICE and BETTER WORKMANSHIP but I guess not . On January 19, I stopped by Rick Hendrick Chevrolet. I was interested in a new car and had recently had the opportunity to drive the Chevrolet Sonic, which I liked, so I wanted to see what the dealership had on the lot. I purposefully stopped to look at the inventory thinking they would not be open, since it was a Sunday. I had never actually purchased a car before, and the many stories I have heard about the process was something I was not sure I was ready to tackle, however to my surprise Rick Hendrick Chevrolet was open. A lovely sales woman came out, Amy, and spoke to me about the car. Amy was not at all what I was expecting, I was expecting some high pressure salesman, something I did not want to encounter. Amy was calming, professional, and not pushy, which was perfect, before I knew it my car was appraised and not really intending to make a new car purchase that day, I left with a brand new Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Sonic.
