Sad to say, hiring Cutting Edge to do work for us was a drastic mistake. Actually, my 88-yr.old uncle had hired Mr. Jones, after doing satisfactory work for him at another of his properties (my uncle is not online, thus, does not read posted merchant reviews.) Mr. Jones had provided an estimate for the job, and began with his crew on Wed., 09/02, working through Fri., 09/04. That was the last we've seen of him or any of his crew. There are 2 huge stumps remaining in the front of the house, two sections of a tree that crashed through a side-fence and remain in the neighbor's yard, another huge stump and a 40-ft. pine tree still in the backyard (took photos today, 07/17...wish I could post them here!) Soon after his two days of work, I called twice to inquire about his return. He returned my call 3 days later, promising to finish the job. A week later, the tenant occupying the house had also spoken to Mr. Jones, again, he promised to return last Thursday and Fri....here it is a week later, still haven't called, or been seen. Here's the sad part. My uncle had unfortunately paid Mr. Jones on Fri., 09/04, IN-FULL. He has taken advantage of an 88-year-old man. G-ddamn shameful. I had just left a voicemail with Mr. Jones asking him to return this weekend to make things right, or I will hire another company to make things right (an additional $1200. expense!), and I promised that I would take him to small claims court. Folks, if you're considering having tree work done, don't just walk away, RUN LIKE HELL!
