My husband and I have been dealing with DePaul hospital for 12 weeks now. He was hospitalized twice over the course of that time. Most recently, he was re-admiited the evening of Wed. 3-14. I went to see him Thursday morning and he was in so much pain that he was screaming that they were treating him like a dog. Thay had his 6' 2" frame scrunched up on a small bed and gave him no painkillers except for percaset throughout the night. He was running a fever which was not addressed. He had no I.V. drip, which he needed to stabalize his electrolytes. They paid no attention to him, and left him to die, which he did, early Friday morning. Dr. Lap listens to your concerns but more importantly she acts on them. She not only treats illnesses, but is great with preventive healthcare. Her services are very convenient, some tests are offered right in her office. My last physician always had to refer me out for tests. Emergency services are also available on weekends and evenings.
