Today, 03/03/2011, my beautiful 25 ft Chaparral boat was loaded onto a trailer and departed Sunset Boating Center and Dry Storage's facility for a salvage sale--having been deemed a total loss by my insurance company due to raccoon infestation damage to the entire interior of the boat that occurred while my boat was stored at this facility. The infestation was so bad that even after an initial clean up, one repair firm refused to board the boat to provide a repair estimate due to severity of the residual bio-hazard remaining on board. A Marina personnel acknowledged that they had a --had a raccoon problem.. I was advised by others that my boat was not the only one to sustain damaged as the result of the apparent rampart raccoon infestation at the storage facilities. The interesting thing about this entire ugly process was one of the managers told me that this problem was actually my fault since I didn't visit my boat often--if you store your boat there I would check on it--and often! ...read more

I have been a customer of Sunset Boating Center for over one year. I have found them to be extremely Helpful and courteous. My boat broke down on the eastern shore and was tied up at a marina over there racking up fees. John volunteered his boat and a whole day of his time to retrieve my boat and get it back to Sunset.
