Fall Activities

Fall is in the air!  With the passing of summer and the welcoming of fall, outdoor activities abound. A few festivities to enjoy is Olde Salem Days, Salem Virginia and WV Bridge Day, Fayetteville, WV.   OLDE SALEM DAYS is held annually on the 2nd Saturday in September along Main Street in Salem, VA.   Olde Salem Days is sponsored by the Salem Jaycees.  Any money made from the annual  event is used to help local organizations.  This festival attracts over 400 arts and crafts and food vendors.  There are also over 200 vehicles on display for the car show part of the festival.  The hours are 10-5.This event is free! Additional information can be obtained by going tohttp://www.oldesalemdays.com. WV BRIDGE DAYis held annually on the 3rd Saturday of October on theNew River Gorge Bridge, Fayetteville, WV.  Bridge day generally attracts over 200,000 people. BASE jumpers parachute off the New River Gorge Bridge diving 876-feet into the New River Gorge below. Rapellers descend on ropes beneath the mighty bridge.
