Almost non-existant customer service. Just a long line and indignant low paid scant work force. Hate it; but I do go and endure the durth. ...read more

I was looking for a phone number to call this store and have them fix my charges, and I ran across this terrible review describing what JUST happened to me.\t\nI went to Micheals and bought some Vinyl words that were on sale for $6.99!\t\nGREAT PRICE!\t\nWhen they rang up all my stuff they charged me $50.\t\nI thought, there is no way.\t\nSo I looked at my reciept and they charged me 27 dollars for the letters.\t\nI said you must be joking. The stupid girl asked her manager who said "They can't be more than $15. Charge her $15"\t\nShe looked at me stupidly, Would you like me to put money back on your card?\t\nHELL YES I DO.\t\nSo she had me swipe my card again, and supposedly put my money back.\t\nThe next day I check my bank account and there is still the $50 charge with no money returned.\t\nARG! ...read more

I LOVE this shop! Not only are the owners some of the most knowledgeable people about costumes on the planet, they will move heaven and earth to help a customer. If they have ever been closed when they would normally be open, it would have to have been a life or death emergency as they are truly dedicated to helping fumbly people like me, find the perfect outfit. I recommend them to everyone who asks about costume help! ...read more

I've done a lot of framing business and incidental supply business with Micheal's in the past, as my store is in the same complex as them. No longer. Without realizing that she was my wife, Micheal's gave her the runaround on a framing job for a full month, then finally got it done, and done poorly I may add. The only reason it was done is because she was in the store and wouldn't leave until it was finished - 3 1/2 weeks after their initial promise date. \t\n\t\nIt was, unfortunately, a Mother's Day present for her aunt, and they knew it. They didn't get it done until a week after Mother's Day. Wringing her hands of the terrible experience, my wife just took it and delivered it to Ogden.\t\n\t\nI just got off the phone with them, and they refused to give us any sort of partial refund for the trouble and the horrid looking final product. \t\n\t\nToo bad for them, because a framing store just opened up across Highland Drive. I think they will be getting some money soon! ...read more

Every time I go in this store I feel like an interruption. The sales staff is not friendly and seems put out by my being there. I called about a product yesterday and the person answered the phone sounding extremely tired, and when she had to go look for an item I was requesting she was clearly annoyed. They had the item but didn't want to sell it until the next day (it just came in and was in the box - they were too put out to unpack it). I told her I'd be in the area that day and then not again for some time and she told me to call the next day and give a credit card # and fully pay to hold the item until I could come in. At full price, I just ordered it on-line and even got priority shipping at no cost. I'm not sure how the full-price stores can continue to do business this way. ...read more

Pioneer Craft House Museum is open Mondays from 3:30-7:30 p.m. and offers events from puppet shows to live music evenings while working on a craft, to oral history lectures and art exhibits. ...read more

I used to enjoy going to Michaels but my last trip there left a sour taste in my mouth. I tried to purchase a portfolio case for $35 (that was the price listed on the shelf) but when I got to the register it rang up for $70! They did a price check and said the one I had just bought was $70 and that they were out of portfolio cases for $35. They gave me no explanation and did nothing to try and solve the problem. (I ultimately just asked them to refund the $70.) Watch the prices carefully when you check out! ...read more

I've been there a number of times. Lots of fun things to see. Extensive selections. Nice and informed staff.\t\n\t\nI had to demerit a star because I was not thrilled that I wasted a lunch hour from work to go and intend to purchase something, and they were closed. My lunch hour is at 11:00, when they should be open for business. It should have been well out of the time they might close for a bit for their own lunch time if they do that. ...read more

And I know, 'cause I own the place and have for over 36 years.\t\nIt has been a most enjoyable enterprize for me and hopefully for many many of you customers whose comments are heard almost daily at the store go something like this " Oh my, this is the funnest store in town. Why didn't I come hear sooner?"\t\nAnd I say '" Yes, Why didn't you? And what made you stop by today""." They respond with something like "I dunno, been wanting to stop here a million times but just didn't."\t\nWell, now we're both happy that they did.\t\n And they just grin all over.\t\n So stop by ,. I think you'll love it too.\t\nWe have so many fun items, including Novelty Hats, wigs Magic, Jokes, Makeup, Mustaches and on and on. \t\nCme see for yourself..\t\nJoAnn ...read more
