If these folks were of the canine persuasion, they'd clearly be the friendliest, most helpful and eager to please Labrador retriever on the planet. And nope, I don't work for them! This is my first year back in Utah after living in Arizona for 20+ years. I needed some serious updating on the local flyfishing scene, so I wouldn't look like some desert rat next time I throw bugs at the non-deserty fish up here. After reading some of the other reviews posted here I decided to give them a shot. Sam was awesome, and took all the time I needed to answer my questions, go over flies, locales, waters, etc, with a completely honest and friendly way about him. I bought an indoor soccer shoe, Nike Mercurial. It fit comfortably in the store. When I played a game in the shoe, it was horrible. The traction is horribly designed. It lifts you too high off the ground, leaving you susceptible to rolling your ankles. I've played in cleats and had no problems, and played with indoor shoes and had no problems, but playing with these turf shoes was a miserable experience. There is nothing actually wrong with the shoe.... it is in good shape, but it is poorly designed and is very unstable. Soccer International would do nothing about it. They wouldn't allow me to return the shoe. I know they couldn't resell them because I wore them, but you'd think they'd be able to deal with Nike on behalf of the customer. They were unwilling to do so. I will not be buying my next pair of shoes there, nor would I recommend Soccer International to anyone. They don't back up the product they sold. ...read more
