Learning Tree Schools

2.0

By heather98gmailcom

My daughter (6 yrs) has been attending The Learning Tree daycare for about 20 months. I chose the daycare because there were limited options in the area. Over the almost 2 years she has been attending the daycare, I have noticed the staff become less caring for the children as well as the parents. I have witnessed the teachers regularly yelling and disrespecting the children. The facility participates in the federal food program which is a very valuable option for those who need it. However, if your child does not want to eat the food, the staff still requires them to take the plate and then throw the food away. This is definitely not a habit I want my child to learn. When I brought my concerns up with the director (Bethany), I received very little understanding and a comment "You can choose another daycare or you can take your child directly to school" (to avoid the required breakfast). Neither one an option for my work schedule and the school my daughter is attending. Recently I received a call from the director threatening to not pick up my daughter from school because I failed to pay the week tuition for Christmas week (she only attended 2.5 days of the week) and quite honestly it slipped my mind. If she had reviewed my account, she would have realized I always pay on time and often early. Instead of a threat to pay over the phone, a polite call would have been appreciated. The lack of respect starts at the front desk and spreads through the facility to 70% of the teachers my daughter has been involved with (or I have witnessed while walking to her classroom). Sure there are a few who are sweet and caring towards my daughter but not enough in my opinion. If you are seeking a daycare in the Murray/Millcreek area, you will probably be in the same predicament I was in. There just aren't enough childcare facilities. Please take my experience into consideration. ...read more

Sky Harbor Apartments

Sky Harbor appears to have been fully renovated. In addition to a new and fantastic staff, the entire complex has been re-landscaped. It is obvious that this new endeavor is aiming for a resort feel with a home touch. \t\nSporting an indoor racquetball court, onsite gym, sauna, outdoor pool, & barbeque pits, the only thing missing is an onsite activities director.\t\nSky Harbor also features a standard business center for your general computing needs and a WiFi area within the same building that allows you to meeting your online needs.\t\n\t\nOne thing that I personally found refreshing was the staff. They have become so customer focused. The office staff greets you with a smile and has such an amazing ""Can-Do"" attitude. They made the process easy and engaging from the get go.\t\n\t\nHaving both hotel suites and apartments available makes this location widely in demand for both the short stay to Salt Lake and those looking for a respite just outside of Downtown but close enough to the action. ...read more

I had heard such great things about Paul Mitchell and thought i would give it a try. I went to have some waxing done and while talking to the girl she informed me she does hair and had not started the course to do wax but knew what she was doing. After we started there were ""issues"" with the wax, not being hot enough and then too hot, she eventually had to call someone else in to help. After all was done i went home where later my chin started to bleed and scab because i had been burnt. Now i have about three penny size scabs on my chin. I am not on any medications that could have caused a reaction. I was very disappointed because of all the great things I had heard. ...read more

Recently moved from a 3 bedroom house to my 2 bedroom apartment here and I am suprised at how much I am enjoying it so far. My apartment is spacious enough that with a small storage unit for my garage things I dont even feel cramped. I havent lived in an apartment before and I am really liking it so far, no shoveling in the winter. This will be my 1st summer here but I am already liking the idea of not having to mow the lawn and have great landscaping to look at. I was looking for a 3 bedroom originally but the girls in the office sold me on this place, they are pretty fun to talk to. Ive only had one maintanance issue but it was fixed right away and the guy was very nice. Another plus of apartment living, no maintenance. ...read more

I have lived here at Cobble Creek for a few years and it is a great apartment, so much so that I normally do not write reviews but I felt like I should for them. UU Health clinics are terrible. I made the mistake of visiting the Redwood \t\n\t\nWhen I went in, I was dangerously dehydrated and terribly sick with body \t\n\t\npain, cramps & headache. I got sat down in a room and then was forgotton. \t\n\t\nEvery 15 minutes or so a nurse would poke her head in and says "What doctor \t\n\t\nare you seeing?" When I told her I hadn't seen anyone yet, she would say to \t\n\t\nwait there. This went on for a little over an hour, until a nurse finally \t\n\t\nsaid, "I need this room." I got a little preturbed and told her I had been \t\n\t\nthere over an hour, not seen a doctor and no one had even inquiured about \t\n\t\nme.\t\n\t\nFinally, I managed to see a Doctor who was shocked about my dehydrated \t\n\t\nstate and told a nurse to give me a saline drip. They wanted a urine \t\n\t\nsample, but I could not pee so the doctor had two more liters of saline \t\n\t\nadministered. I still hadn't peed yet, when the doctor then came with "my" \t\n\t\nurine sample test results. When I told him again that I hadn't peed, he got \t\n\t\nvisibly angry and went into the hall to have a go at some nurse staff. I \t\n\t\ngot a fourth liter of saline, but they then said to forget about the urine \t\n\t\ntest and go to hospital emergency if it got worse. They never offered an \t\n\t\nantibiotic regime of some pain med until I asked for them. They didn't want \t\n\t\nto provide any pain med to relieve my suffering even though I was obviously \t\n\t\nin terrible pain and not and addict. They finally relented when I begged. \t\n\t\nFurthermore, I was witness to two nurses talking smack in Spanish about \t\n\t\nsome poor sick woman in another room. They did not think I could \t\n\t\nunderstand, but when I told them in Spanish that I thought they were \t\n\t\nbehaving very unprofessionally, they high tailed it out of there.\t\n\t\nThere was no follow up & they didn't seem to care if I lived or died. I \t\n\t\nwent back twice to renew my meds and the service was also very bad. I saw \t\n\t\nthe doctor I first had walking by & he didn't even recognize me. One doctor \t\n\t\nwas trying to get me to take a number of expensive tests, while another \t\n\t\nwarned me that these were unnecessary and unlikely to produce results, he \t\n\t\nalso told me it was very bad that they did not hydrate me enough for a \t\n\t\nurine test or take a blood test on my first visit, because that was the \t\n\t\nbest time to detect a virus or flu. I did take a malaria test because I had \t\n\t\nbeen in the tropics, but I never got the results of this test. When I \t\n\t\ncalled and inquired, I was told that if no one contacted them they must \t\n\t\nhave been negative and that they could do no more to get me my test results\t\n\t\nFinally, even though I had paid all my copays, $60 was apparently left \t\n\t\noutstanding. I never received a bill from them until after the reported me \t\n\t\nto the state attorney general. They sent me to collections for $60, damaged \t\n\t\nmy sterling credit and I never got so much as a phone call. They were very \t\n\t\nindignant when I went to discuss the situation with them.\t\n\t\nI would never, ever go there again, ever. ...read more

I recently moved back into Cobble Creek and I couldn't be happier. The last apartment I lived at really made me realize how great it is here and I never want to leave. My apartment was so clean when I moved in. The service is great, they really go above and beyond. The other day I went into the office to ask for directions and the girl was nice enough to print them off for me. And maintenance is awesome, I called in to get my doorbell fixed and told them to come over whenever they could since it wasn't a huge deal and they had someone to my place in like 2 hours. And the maintenance men are always so nice. As long as I am renting I will stay here. ...read more
