Methamphetamine Home

Buying a home with Methamphetamine residue is a nightmare. Having Meth residue present in your home will cause illness & possible death to people, especially children. The residue can not be cleaned, painted over or eliminated once attaching to materials. The only way to remove the residue is to remove ALL materials infected with the residue. Most Meth homes remove the sheetrock, flooring, cabinets, all appliances, light fixtures and everything down to the wall studs and subfloor. You may then rebuild the interior of the home with new products. That is a very costly/deadly mistake. When buying a new home have your home tested for Meth. Radon Gas & Your Home Inspection

Radon Gas is relativley an unkown danger in every home in America. Radon is the #2 leading cause for lung cancer, only behind smoking. Over 21,000 people die every year from Radon Gas. It is a natural gas emmited by dirt. Uranium that is found in every type of dirt, is the cause for Radon Gas. There is measures that can be done to protect your home and family from being subjected to this radioactive gas.  When purchasing or selling a new home, have a Radon Gas test included with your Home Inspection. Find a Home Inspector that will provide one at a reasonable cost. The test is non invasive and safe for everyone while the test is being performed. It is crucial that the home is maintained at Winter Time conditions 12 hours before the test begins and while the test is in progress. That means do not leave Windows and Doors open to circulate the outdoor air. You may leave and return from the home like usual, but dont leave the doors open for a lengthy time period. The test needs to be able to collect the amount of Radon Gas that will be at its highest concentration which is during the winter months, when exterior air is rarely circulated through the home. Once the test results are made available, ask the inspector what is reccomended with the Radon Levels. Any results greater than4 pCi/L needs to be mitigated with a control system. Levels below 4 pCi/L can be lowered and is probably a good idea to maintain your families health.
